3 Simple DIY Mother's Day Gifts It seems that every year, I buy something expensive for my mom. I don't want to spend money on things that my mom might only use once. This year, I asked her what she wanted, and she said anything that was made by me. Okay, but where do I start? I went on Pinterest and picked out a few that looked easy enough to make as an eleven year old. (Not to mention making it with my little brothers too.) Here are 5 DIYs that save your Mother's Day budget.  1. Marbled Coffee Mug  Items needed:  1 white coffee mug (can find at the dollar-store) two different colored Nail polish bottles (in your mom's favorite colors) warm water  a few toothpicks a large bowl (deep enough for your mug to fit in) wax paper Process:  Take your warm water and fill the bowl 3/4 of the way full.
